Do you work with businesses in Bangladesh?
Yes. Flip Retail is based in Jaipur, India, and works with Bangladesh businesses remotely. We have no office in Bangladesh; discovery happens on video calls, you get working software every two weeks, and the engineers who write the code are on the calls.
Can a custom ERP handle VAT and e-invoicing in Bangladesh?
Yes. Invoicing is built for Bangladesh's VAT (standard rate 15%). Retailers, restaurants and other listed sectors, mainly in Dhaka and Chattogram, must issue receipts through NBR-connected Electronic Fiscal Devices or Sales Data Controllers, and the list expands each year; VAT returns run through the e-VAT system. The Finance Bill 2026 added enabling provisions for electronic Mushak 6.3 invoices from ERP systems, but no general e-invoicing deadline has been legislated. A custom ERP connects to EFD/SDC devices through its official API or an accredited provider, and we confirm the current requirements in discovery.
How do you handle PDPO 2025?
Bangladesh's first comprehensive data-protection framework, issued by the interim government in late 2025 with consent, cross-border transfer and breach-reporting rules under a national data authority and an 18-month compliance window; implementation is at an early stage. You choose where the system is hosted, access is role-based, and we work on test or masked data during development wherever possible.
Can you migrate us from Tally, Odoo or SAP Business One?
Yes. Masters, ledgers, stock items and opening balances move across and are reconciled with your accountant before cutover, ideally at a year-end or quarter-end.
Are there AI rules we need to follow in Bangladesh?
No AI-specific statute; a draft National AI Policy 2026-2030 has been released for public consultation. We design AI agents with logging, human oversight and clear disclosure from the start, which covers most current requirements.
