Sales & quotations
Enquiry to quotation to order, with customer-specific price lists, approvals and follow-ups, so no enquiry goes unanswered.
Service · Custom ERP
ERP built around how your business actually trades, not the other way round. Sales, inventory, purchase, production, billing and accounts in one system your team opens without being told to, delivered module by module with the first one live early.
01 — Scope
Start with the module that leaks the most money, then add the rest once it pays back. Every module shares one item master, one customer list and one ledger.
Enquiry to quotation to order, with customer-specific price lists, approvals and follow-ups, so no enquiry goes unanswered.
Live stock by item, variant, batch or location, with committed versus free quantity, so sales never promises stock that is already gone.
Requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt and vendor bills matched three ways, with reorder levels based on real consumption.
Bills of materials, work orders, outside job-work and yields, so you know what a unit really costs to make.
Invoices, credit notes and e-invoicing in the format your tax authority requires, posted straight to the ledger.
Ledgers, receivables ageing, and credit limits checked before an order is confirmed, not after the truck has left.
Picking, packing, part-loads, vehicle and transporter details, and proof of delivery tied to the invoice.
Margin by customer and product, ageing, stock turns and pipeline, live rather than assembled at month end.
02 — Build or buy
Buy off-the-shelf if your process is standard: plain accounting, simple stock, no unusual pricing. Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo, ERPNext, SAP Business One and NetSuite are good products for the businesses they were designed for.
Custom ERP earns its cost when the software has to match how you actually trade: weight-based pricing, grade- and size-wise stock, job-work, part-loads, approval chains, or a pricing model nobody else uses. If your team is bending the business to fit the software's screens, or keeping the real numbers in a spreadsheet next to it, that is the signal.
| Off-the-shelf ERP | Custom ERP | |
|---|---|---|
| Fit to your process | You adapt to its workflows; deep customisation is limited or costly | Screens, rules and vocabulary follow your process |
| Time to start | Days to weeks for a standard setup | First module in weeks; full rollout in months |
| Upfront cost | Low | Higher: you pay for design and build |
| Running cost | Per-user licences that grow with headcount | Hosting and support; no per-user licence fees |
| Ownership | The vendor owns the software; you rent access | You own the source code and the data |
| Changing it later | Wait for the vendor's roadmap or pay for customisation | Change it when the business changes |
| Best for | Standard accounting and inventory | Businesses whose edge is in how they operate |
03 — Industries
Each industry page lists the modules, AI agents and portals we would build first.
04 — Proof
We are a product company first. SteelERP is enterprise ERP and order management for B2B steel and metal distributors, now running as a multi-tenant product.
Inquiry, quotation, order, dispatch and GST invoice in one platform, with e-way bill support, credit notes and ledger posting.
Grade-, size- and godown-wise stock, with committed versus free quantity.
Weight-based rates and part-load dispatch tracking, reconciled down to the last kilogram.
Credit limits checked before an order is confirmed.
Sales, stores and accounts each see what they need, across tenants.
Margin, receivables ageing and supply-chain views, live.
A custom ERP from us gets the same discipline: real process first, screens second.

Short loops and working software early. What actually stretches ERP timelines is messy legacy data, unclear internal approvals and scope added mid-build, so we deal with those up front.
We sit with sales, stores and accounts, map the real process, including the workarounds, and find where money leaks.
Screens, data model and reports are agreed before a line of production code is written.
Two-week increments. The first usable module, usually billing or stock, lands early; the rest follows while your team already uses it.
Masters, ledgers, stock and opening balances moved and reconciled with your accountant, then a parallel run until you trust it.
We stay on for fixes, new modules and the changes your business grows into.
06 — Integrations
07 — Cost
Three things drive cost more than anything else: how many modules you run on day one, how many users and branches you have, and how much legacy data needs cleaning before it moves. Integrations with outside systems come next. A single-branch billing and stock rollout sits at the lower end; multi-branch ERP with purchase, production, credit control and integrations sits well above it.
We quote a fixed scope after a free discovery call. The cheapest way to start is with the module that leaks the most money, usually billing, stock or order-to-dispatch, and fund the rest from what it saves.
Locations
We deliver remotely from Jaipur. Each location guide covers local industries, tax and data rules, and how working hours line up.
FAQ
Custom ERP software is an enterprise resource planning system designed and built for one business's own processes, rather than configured from a packaged product. It connects sales, inventory, purchase, production, billing and accounts in one database, using your terminology, approval rules and pricing logic, and you own the source code.
Cost is driven by how many modules you run on day one, how many users and branches you have, how much legacy data needs cleaning, and which outside systems it must connect to. A single-branch billing and stock rollout sits at the lower end; multi-branch ERP with purchase, production and integrations sits well above it. We quote a fixed scope after a free discovery call.
Plan in months, not weeks, for a full ERP, but you should see working software far earlier. We ship in two-week increments, so a first usable module, usually billing or stock, lands early and the rest follows while your team is already using it. Messy legacy data, unclear internal approvals and scope added mid-build are what stretch timelines.
Buy off-the-shelf if your process is standard. Build custom when the software must match how you actually trade: weight-based rates, grade- and size-wise stock, job-work, part-loads, unusual pricing or approval chains. If your team keeps the real numbers in a spreadsheet next to the ERP, packaged software is not fitting your business.
Yes. Masters, ledgers, stock items and opening balances move across; we map fields with your accountant and reconcile balances before cutover. Migrate at a year-end or quarter-end so a financial year is not split across two systems, and budget time for cleanup so duplicate parties and dead items do not come with you.
Ownership is agreed in writing before work starts. For custom builds we hand over the source code, database and documentation on completion, and your business data stays yours throughout, exportable in standard formats, so there is no lock-in. We are happy to sign an NDA before you share process details.
Yes. Invoicing is built for your jurisdiction's tax rules, and e-invoicing connects to the national system through its official API or an accredited provider, for example GST e-invoicing in India, ZATCA in Saudi Arabia, KSeF in Poland or CFDI in Mexico. Because tax rules change, compliance is something we keep updated rather than treat as a one-time build.
Adoption is the real risk in an ERP project, not the technology. We keep daily screens close to the words your team already uses, roll out module by module with training on your own data, and stay close through the first billing cycle, when the real questions appear.
