Business in Paris
La Défense, just west of the city limits, houses the head offices of TotalEnergies, Société Générale and dozens of other large French groups, making the region France's main concentration of corporate headquarters. In the city proper, fashion and luxury houses such as LVMH, Hermès, Chanel and Kering, publishers and broadcasters, and a large start-up scene centred on Station F sit alongside a large tourism and hospitality trade.
Where software helps: France's e-invoicing reform requires every company to receive structured invoices through approved platforms from September 2026, forcing Paris agencies, SMEs and luxury suppliers to clean up VAT data and invoice flows.
