Business in Antwerp
A large share of the world's rough diamonds passes through the few streets of Antwerp's diamond district, where dealers, cutters and bourses still trade daily. North of the city along the Scheldt, Port of Antwerp-Bruges handles containers, steel and breakbulk and hosts Europe's largest integrated chemical cluster, with BASF, Ineos, ExxonMobil and TotalEnergies plants beside the docks.
Also known as Antwerpen and Anvers.
Where software helps: Diamond traders and chemical shippers in Antwerp must document Kimberley Process certificates, dangerous-goods data and customs status lot by lot, and reconcile it with invoices in several currencies.
