Business in Mexico City
Grupo Bimbo, América Móvil, Walmart de México and most of the country's banks, insurers and media groups are headquartered in the capital, with offices along Reforma, in Polanco and in Santa Fe. The Central de Abasto, one of the largest wholesale food markets in the world, supplies the metro's shops and restaurants, and factories in neighbouring Tlalnepantla, Naucalpan and Cuautitlán make food, pharmaceuticals, packaging and auto parts.
Also known as CDMX, Ciudad de México and DF.
Where software helps: Distributors selling to Mexico City retailers must stamp every sale as a CFDI 4.0, issue payment complements for credit sales and attach a Carta Porte to each truckload of goods.
