Business in Querétaro
Aircraft parts gave Querétaro its distinctive cluster: Safran, Bombardier, GE Aerospace and Airbus Helicopters operate near the intercontinental airport, alongside the Aeronautical University of Querétaro that trains their technicians. Auto-parts and appliance plants line Highway 57 between Mexico City and the US border, and since 2024 Microsoft, Google and AWS have opened cloud regions in the state, drawing a cluster of large data centres.
Also known as Queretaro and Santiago de Querétaro.
Where software helps: Aerospace suppliers need part serialisation, AS9100 traceability and first-article inspection records, while running IMMEX inventory controls on imported metals and components re-exported as finished parts.
