Business in Pali
Dyeing and printing of cotton and synthetic fabric is Pali's core industry, with hundreds of processing houses finishing cloth for traders across north and west India. The district also has cement plants, and nearby Sojat is known for henna (mehendi), which is grown, ground, packed and exported in bulk.
Also known as Pali Marwar.
Where software helps: Textile processing houses here take in grey cloth from many traders on job-work, so they must track lot-wise inward, dyeing and printing stages, shrinkage, dye consumption and dispatch back to each owner.
