Coal, chrome, magnetite and sugar from South Africa, Eswatini and Zimbabwe move through the Port of Maputo, run under concession by the Maputo Port Development Company, so transit logistics, trucking and freight forwarding form the core of private business. Matola hosts cement works, fuel terminals and the Beluluane Industrial Park, and the capital is the base for banks and contractors serving gas projects in the north.

Yes. Invoicing is built for Mozambique's IVA (standard rate 16%). On e-invoicing: There is no clearance e-invoicing or fiscal-device mandate, but since May 2025 the Tax Authority (AT) has required monthly electronic submission of invoice-level VAT data through the e-Declaracao portal; adopting SAF-T is pending government approval, and computer-issued invoicing requires AT authorisation. When the mandate takes effect, a custom ERP can connect to AT e-Declaracao invoice reporting through its official API or an accredited provider; we design for it from the start.

For Portuguese and English, yes: current language models handle them well, including mixed-language messages. Support for Changana is more limited, so we test with real customer messages before committing to it, and route anything the agent is unsure about to your team.
Usually one module that fixes the most expensive problem first. For logistics & ports that is often job & shipment costing and warehouse management (bins, put-away, picking). It goes live early, and the rest of the system follows in two-week increments while your team is already using it.
