Do you build custom ERP and AI software for businesses in Harare?
Yes, remotely. Flip Retail is a software studio in Jaipur, India, with no office in Harare; discovery happens on video calls and you get working software every two weeks.
How do time zones work between Harare and Jaipur?
Jaipur is 3 h 30 min ahead of Harare all year. A 09:00 start there is 12:30 in Jaipur. Standard 09:00–18:00 office days overlap by 5 h 30 min, which is enough for live calls, demos and same-day answers.
Can a custom ERP handle VAT and e-invoicing in Zimbabwe?
Yes. Invoicing is built for Zimbabwe's VAT (standard rate 15.5%). On e-invoicing: All VAT-registered operators (and, according to ZIMRA, income-tax payers) must issue receipts and invoices through ZIMRA-approved fiscal devices or virtual fiscal devices that transmit sales data to ZIMRA's Fiscalisation Data Management System (FDMS) at the time of sale. ZIMRA has tightened these rules in 2025-2026, including mandatory buyer details on fiscal invoices. A custom ERP connects to ZIMRA fiscalisation through its official API or an accredited provider, and we confirm the current requirements in discovery.
Where will our data be stored, and what about CDPA?
You choose: your own cloud account in a region that suits you, or your own servers. Access inside the system is role-based, and during development we work on test or masked data wherever possible. In force with POTRAZ as the data protection authority; under the 2024 Licensing of Data Controllers and Appointment of Data Protection Officers Regulations, controllers must hold a POTRAZ licence and appoint a qualified DPO, and transfers abroad require adequate protection in the destination (there is no explicit localisation rule).
Can you migrate us from Sage 50 (Pastel), Sage 200 Evolution or QuickBooks?
Yes. Masters, ledgers, stock and opening balances move across and are reconciled with your accountant before cutover, ideally at a year-end or quarter-end.
Can your AI agents talk to customers in English, Shona and Ndebele?
For English, yes: current language models handle it well, including mixed-language messages. Support for Shona and Ndebele is more limited, so we test with real customer messages before committing to it, and route anything the agent is unsure about to your team.
What would a first project look like for a food business?
Usually one module that fixes the most expensive problem first. For agriculture & food processing that is often farmer & supplier procurement and grading & lot tracking. It goes live early, and the rest of the system follows in two-week increments while your team is already using it.
