Business in Indore
Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital trades everything from soybean meal to readymade garments: Siyaganj and other wholesale markets supply much of central India, and the national soybean processors' association is based in the city. Pithampur, about 30 km away, hosts commercial-vehicle, auto-component and pharmaceutical plants, the Super Corridor and Crystal IT Park house IT firms, and Indore's namkeen and snack makers sell across the country.
Where software helps: Namkeen and snack makers sell through distributors across several states, so they need batch-wise expiry tracking, scheme-heavy trade pricing and visibility of distributor stock before it goes stale.
