Gamarra, in La Victoria, packs thousands of small garment makers, fabric sellers and printers into a few dozen blocks and supplies clothing across Peru. Mining companies such as Buenaventura and the suppliers to Andean copper and gold mines keep head offices in San Isidro and Surco, Credicorp and other banks run the financial sector, and the Port of Callao handles most of the country's container trade, joined in 2024 by the COSCO-operated Chancay port north of the city.

On e-invoicing: Practically all RUC-registered taxpayers (Nuevo RUS is optional) must issue UBL 2.1 electronic invoices, receipts, credit/debit notes and remission guides, sent to SUNAT or an authorised OSE generally within three calendar days; coverage became comprehensive in 2022. A custom ERP connects to SUNAT CPE through its official API or an accredited provider, and we confirm the current requirements in discovery.
