Business in Dammam
First commercial oil in Saudi Arabia flowed from Dammam No. 7 in 1938, and Saudi Aramco, headquartered in neighbouring Dhahran, still shapes the economy. King Abdulaziz Port, the kingdom's main Gulf port, feeds Riyadh by road and rail, and the 2nd Industrial City holds steel, pipe, cable, chemicals and plastics plants supplying oil, gas and construction projects.
Also known as Ad Dammam.
Where software helps: Fabricators and suppliers to Aramco and SABIC must report IKTVA local content, keep material test certificates traceable to each job, and issue ZATCA-compliant e-invoices across yards and project sites.
