Where the Sava meets the Danube, Belgrade combines the head offices of Serbia's banks, telecoms and state companies with a large IT services and games sector, including studios such as Nordeus and outsourcing centres for European and US clients. Construction and real estate, especially in New Belgrade, are major employers, and the river port and warehouses along the motorways serve trade with the EU and the Western Balkans.
