Business in Ho Chi Minh City
Since July 2025 the city's boundaries take in the former Binh Duong province, whose industrial parks are packed with garment, footwear and wood-furniture exporters, as well as the Cai Mep-Thi Vai deep-water port. Intel's assembly-and-test plant and Samsung's consumer-electronics complex sit in Saigon Hi-Tech Park, Cat Lai terminal handles much of the south's container trade, and the old centre holds the stock exchange, banks and a large share of Vietnam's retail and e-commerce demand.
Also known as Saigon, HCMC and TP.HCM.
Where software helps: Garment, furniture and electronics exporters reconcile processing-trade customs declarations and material consumption norms while issuing tax-authority-coded e-invoices under Decree 123, often for Korean, Japanese or Taiwanese parent companies.
